Steel Rule Die Cutting is the process in which a steel rule die is manufactured to the specific size and shape of the graphics required by the customer. This process is used when very tight tolerances are required or a specific shape is desired for a particular graphic; this would also include embossing items that require touch screen buttons or decals that require a Braille texture. Steel rule die cutting is also used to cut a selective adhesive which may be required for its end use on overlays with clear windows as well as the touch screens. This process is used for rigid materials with consistent precision including lexan, polyester, sintra and styrene with consistent precision. The largest capacity for steel rule die cutting is 33” x 52” and can cut a range of thicknesses depending on the substrate with a maximum thickness of 30 mil.
